See the breathtaking re-creation of King Tut’s empire. The King Tut Exhibit is on display at the San Diego Natural History Museum (the NAT) through April 26th. You’ll get to see over 1,000 expertly crafted reproductions of treasures discovered in King Tut’s tomb. Everything is laid out to represent the exact moment of the discovery of these artifacts. Just keep in mind that you do need to pay a separate admission for this exhibit. That also means that your annual membership will not gain you admission to this special exhibit. You do, however, get a discount on your King Tut Exhibit ticket as a member of the San Diego Natural History Museum. If you have a membership you can save as much as $12 on your ticket for the exhibit.
There are a couple of other ways to save on the cost of your admission to this special exhibit. If you are a senior then be sure to mention this and you will automatically save as much as $3 off the cost of your admission there. There are also discounts for the military and for students. Just show your military ID or student ID and you can save as much as $6 off the cost of your ticket for the King Tut Exhibit. Until the end of the month, children 12 years and under will get a discounted rate of $10 to see the special exhibition The Discovery of King Tut or get free general admission to San Diego Natural History Museum with the purchase of an adult adult ticket.

This is good for travel to and from Oceanside, Old Town San Diego and San Diego Downtown station to places including San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange County and all of the points in-between.
Other attractions included in this promotion include the San Diego Zoo, SEAL Tours, rides on the Bahia Belle, Sail San Diego, and more. Finally, there are over 100 different restaurants, hotels, and resorts that offer something for kids all month long. Free stays, meals, and more. The bottom line is the month of October is a perfect time to plan a San Diego staycation with your family.

Take a trip back in time to the year 1717 for the Real Pirates Exhibit at the San Diego Natural History Museum. See the valuable cargo that was transported across the Atlantic. There’s also the feature film: Real Pirates: The Untold Story of the Whydah from Slave Ship to Pirate Ship. This exhibit will be at The NAT until September 1st. Admission is not included with a general admission ticket. You will need to purchase The Real Pirates Exhibit ticket in order to get access. Of course the Real Pirates Exhibit ticket will get you access to the rest of the NAT. Here are a few ways that you can save some extra money off the cost of your admission there.
For starters, if you are a senior you can save $3 off the cost of your admission. Just mention this when you arrive at the ticket window at the NAT. If you are in the military then just show your military ID and you can save $6 off the cost of your admission. Students can also receive the same $6 off discount on admission. All you need to do is show a valid student ID. Kids ages 3-12 get $8 off the adult ticket price and youths ages 13-17 get $7 off the adult ticket price.
The NAT offers a discount on tickets for the Pirates Exhibit for members as well. All members of the NAT get $10 off the regular admission price. They also offer a BP Explorers discount but you will need to check with them to see what the latest discount is for the BP Explorers. Finally, the NAT offers a group discount for groups of 10 or more people.
